When you log on to the PaCT this term you will notice changes to the Progress and Consistency Tool (PaCT) interface, including a new colour scheme, new reporting options for teachers, and new options for administrators.

If you are a teacher using the PaCT you will notice some visual tweaks to the PaCT interface. The core functionality of PaCT will remain the same, and all your data and judgements will be unaffected.

There are new reporting functions available. Teachers can now download reports for individual students or their whole class directly to a PDF, by using a new button in the ‘Reports>Students>Judgments for your class’ section.

We are aware that some users may experience technical glitches when using the new PDF feature. We are working on a fix for this, and will be releasing it shortly.

If you are an administrator for your school’s PaCT, you will also notice that there is now a new option to choose which curriculum is taught at your school: the New Zealand Curriculum, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, or both. This is because the Te Waharoa Ararau (TWA) tool will now be using the same platform as the PaCT, and will be administered using the same portal.

We hope that these changes continue to make PaCT a useful and user-friendly tool. If you have any questions about the new functionality, please email pact.feedback@education.govt.nz
